Dealing with Life With a Laptop Notebook Computer

As more and more laptops are sold quarter by quarter and year by year, one thing has become obvious. Computer manufacturers have been phasing out the term "laptop." Why is that? The term made a lot of sense years ago, when you could actually put a notebook computer on your lap. Now people are suing left and right because their computers are so hot that is makes it impossible to put on their lap without being burned, or at the very least, begin to perspire. Even I have found as I type on my 17" laptop while it's sitting on a desk, the Intel Core Duo chip and heat from the other components cause my palms to begin sweating (not to mention the nice little sweat spots where my palms rest). Thank goodness for cleaner!

Now, we as consumers, what do we need to do to combat this? There are products like the Cool Lift that help eliminate the heat while it sits on your desk, but it isn't ideal for putting on your lap. Thus, just to pose the question, is there a better way to handle use of a notebook computer? Where do we most commonly use a laptop? At home you probably use them on the table, couch, bed, or an office/den. In the office, it's most likely on a desk or table of some sort. What is there was a product that was easily accessible, eliminated the burning sensations on your lap, and could be used practically anywhere in your home or office?

We found that magical product. It's called a Laptop Desk, and adjusts from 30-47 inches high, making it suitable for use while sitting on a couch or in bed. It's easy to assemble, and looks quite nice too. The one we found and tested was made of mahogany, and featured a black metal stand with four legs. Many of the others we'd seen only had three legs, and we found the one extra leg made all the difference for stability. The laptop desk also features a side panel that can also adjust independently of the larger panel, making it convenient for people who like to use mice have ergonomic mice, etc. attached to their laptop notebook computer.

While the laptop desk might not be the best solution for everyone, we found it to be one that made life with a laptop computer that much easier.
