One of the great ideas I've found is the Sticky Pad. I wish I had it when I rounded a hard corner and expensive sun glasses went flying out of the car. With the Sticky Pad, items you want to keep on the dash are not going to slide around. The Sticky Pad is a rubber pad that is neither gooey nor sticky to your fingers but when placed on a dashboard seems glued down. It leaves no residue and the Sticky Pad will stick on acute angles and can be washed when fuzzy to regenerate the stickiness. It does not like slick or coated surfaces.
